at a significantly lower cost.
NHF Advantages:

NHF Subordinate Loans may be used by local housing agencies
as an eligible source of downpayment assistance in
connection with local first loan programs, such as
tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds or mortgage credit
certificates.

NHF Subordinate Loans may be also used as a complementary
source of downpayment assistance along with other local
Second Loan, gift or grant programs.

Given its size and the geographic dispersion of its loan
portfolio, NHF can offer better terms on Subordinate Loan
financing than what a local housing agency may be able to obtain
independently – resulting in a lower cost and loan rate to
the homebuyer.
